The 5 Bad Effects of Procrastination

Sometimes we do not realize that by keeping or pending the works is not good for ourselves.

It will affect many aspects of our lives.

A feeling that a job has been left undone is bad for our morale

 2.U

nfinished jobs leave a lot of clutter around which affects our efficiency. 3.

Putting things off means accumulating jobs and urgency could crop up on the same day.

 4.P

rocrastination when it comes to the notice of other people maybe branded as laziness and lack of interest in the job. 5.

The job becomes more unpleasant the more you postpone it.

The only thing that you need to get straight is that you have to do the job any way so why not do it right now.

Do not wait for that day when-you-will-have-more-time.

The chances are that you will be busier tomorrow than you are today.

Most of those jobs that we procrastinate are the-sooner-done-the-better kind.

All it takes is some will power, make up your mind to do a task and then do it while your mind stay made up, and believe me, the human mind does not stay made up for too long.

Just look around you, it is a beautiful world out there.

Life is wonderful provided you have the time and can afford to sit back and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

This is a feeling that hits us every now and then.

And then when we realize that we have to be confined within the floor walls of our office, doing some work that has no scope for imagination, we end up depressed.

Every job loses its charm after some time if nothing out of the way is done to make the job interesting.

To make things worse, there are too many distractions around us.

We end up thinking that this is not the job that I wanted to be doing.

How to Light Your Inner Passion

One of the key elements of a life of success is that of a strong inner passion.

It is easy to drift through life aimlessly if you don't have a strong sense of this inner desire for something more.

People differ one to another in the amount of natural drive they have.

Some know exactly what they want to do with their lives while they are still in high school, or even earlier.

If you're one of those who has always had a dream and have never turned aside from it, you are probably not reading this article.

In fact, you probably should be writing it!

If you don't really know, there are ways to clarify your dreams and goals.

This would be a good time to get out that journal or just some paper and a pen as you explore the inside you.

And here's a suggestion - why not try using an erasable pen?

They make thinking on paper much easier.

Pencils are faint and smeary to use, but pens are unforgiving.

So now that you have your paper and your erasable pen handy, begin to jot down some things you are interested in.

What are areas in your life that you feel good about?

Does one of them strike a chord with you?

When you write "I'm a good cook" do you feel flooded with a desire to create gourmet dinners or elegant decorated cakes?

Don't fall into the trap of looking at others and envying their gifts before you have given your own a good look.

One woman confessed to a friend that she was envious of the friend's ability to sing and create beautiful music.

The musical woman answered that she wished she could swim and get a tan like the first woman.

Each of us has something that is uniquely ours, and we should cherish and appreciate it.

Whatever ignites that compassion in you is a likely place for you to begin to light your passion.

  • Being Alone Does Not Have To Bother You

Spending time with animals can be a great source of companionship.

Whether you have a dog or you go to your local shelter, spending time with an animal or pet can help us to feel better.

Animals can be of good company to all of us whether we are alone or not.

There are many people out there who could benefit from your time and talents.

Helping others can give you a source of pride and accomplishment and also can lead to friendships.

It isn't fun being alone, but sometimes there are worse things.

For instance, imagine that you are married or stuck in a relationship that you can't get out of and also makes you miserable.

Not only do you have to live with this person, but there is no way to get out of the relationship because of various financial or personal reasons.

As a result, you are stuck living with someone that you can't stand and makes you depressed every single day of your life.

With this viewpoint, being alone doesn't sound that bad.

For those of you who believe in God, spending time with God and praying to him can help us in our lonely situation.

Spending time with God and asking God for help in our time of loneliness can be of great comfort.

Ask him for help and trust that he will help you.

As a Layman, the important thing is to do something constructive.

Sitting around and doing nothing will not make things any better whether its dealing with the fear of being alone or something else.

  • Are You A SWE ?

Food and Drink Are You A SWE?

Many of you heard the word CEO which stands for Chief Executive Officer.

Or, you have heard COO, Chief Operating Officer.

Or, you have heard CTO, Chief Technical Officer.

And you have heard CFO, Chief Financial Officer.

Yes, those are all titles, but they are complete waste of time!

In reference to what I just said, let me reiterate that those previous four titles are a complete waste of time.

See the key to financial freedom and the key to success is you must commit to the daily, focused, action of sharing with excitement.

Let us think about the word sharing.

Many people say, I do not like to sell.

That is one objection that really irritates me because each and every day you share something you are excited about or something you heard that could possibly excite you.

In its deep core roots, selling is Simply Sharing.

And you must be committed to something you are excited about.

That is why many people take jobs and they go broke because they take jobs, but are not excited about what they are selling at their jobs.

When you find what you are excited about and are committed to sharing about it.

When someone is excited about something they can not keep their mouth closed.

As an entrepreneur, as a business person, yes, you will share with excitement.

Man, all you are speaking about, all you are talking about is that business, that networking business, that venture.

Because you are committed to sharing with excitement.

You also committed to search around for a business you can be excited about.

It is your right to be excited about it.

As you know, I teach, you are born to be a Champion.

You have the right to be a Champion.

Today, commit to become a SWE and before you know it you will earn more than a CEO, a COO, a CTO, and a CFO combined because you are sharing with excitement.

Two of the most phenomenal success habits are failures.

Every habit is successful because it produces a result.

If you believe that something produces a result, is it successful?

Except the two top habits of failures are indecision and procrastination.

How many people say and think, What if Only if.

Inside indecision and inside procrastination, inside indecision is decision and inside procrastination is action and inside each one of you is a Champion.

  • Overcoming Your Fears, Anxieties, and Depression

When your fears and depression have the best of you, it is easy to feel that things will not get any better.

Challenge your negative thinking with positive statements and realistic thinking.

When encountering thoughts that make you feel fearful or depressed, challenge those thoughts by asking yourself questions that will maintain objectivity and common sense.

For example, your afraid that if you do not get that job promotion then you will be stuck at your job forever.

This depresses you, however your thinking in this situation is unrealistic.

The fact of the matter is that there all are kinds of jobs available and just because you do not get this job promotion does not mean that you will never get one.

You never know when the answers you are looking for will come to your doorstep.

Even if the thing that you feared does happen, there are circumstances and factors that you can not predict which can be used to your advantage.

Some people get depressed and have a difficult time getting out of bed in the mornings.

When this happens, a person should take a deep breath and try to find something to do to get their mind off of the problem.

A person could take a walk, listen to some music, read the newspaper or do an activity that will give them a fresh perspective on things.

When facing a current or upcoming task that overwhelms you with a lot of anxiety, break the task into a series of smaller steps.

Managing your fears and anxieties takes practice.

The techniques that I have just covered are some basic ways to manage your fears and depression, however your best bet is to get some help from a professional and not to lose hope.

  • That Little Bit Extra

The little bit extra is a very powerful concept to put into practice today in every aspect of your life.

The difference between being ordinary and being extraordinary is that little bit EXTRA.

In a sales process, the little bit extra is that one extra follow-up call, that extra sincere thank-you or the extra little bit of energy that you put into the presentation of your business.

You can either go through the motions of your business or you can give that little bit in order to cement yourself in the mind of your potential customer.

When I personally coach someone, one of my key strategies is to move them to become champions in their field.

One of the easiest ways is to show them the value of what a little extra eye contact with their prospects or customers brings.

This drives into them your confidence and conviction about what you and your product/service have to offer them.

As you progress in your journey towards fulfilling your WHY, you need to constantly give that little extra!

The true sign of a champion-to-be is just when it seems impossible for him/her to give that extra push; they dig deep down and give that little bit extra to fulfill their WHY!

When I speak to groups, I train them to have the mindset of always giving a little bit more than their competitor.

Over the long run, it will pay off big!

You need to realize someone will be the champion in your chosen endeavor.

  • Why Not Me? Reflections on The Traveler

I'm not so able to understand the same thing about my own circumstances much of the time.

I like to whine at times about having a mental illness.

When I have a bad manic episode, I've been known to say, "Sometimes I really hate my life."

First, why not me, as David Ponder was asked.

Why shouldn't I have a burden to bear?

And why should it be any different than it is?

Everyone has what they have to bear.

Because I'm strong and adversity only makes me stronger.

Some people could not live with my problems.

I couldn't live with some of theirs.

Because I have a lesson to learn about mental illness, compassion and forgiveness.

Because I have children who need a strong, understanding mom.

Because when they go through trying times, they need to believe I know what it's like to go through the worst time of your life and come out breathing.

Ironically, because I love to learn, and anything that helps me learn, I can accept, even learn to appreciate.

What did I do to deserve this?

It took me ten years to realize the answer.

I don't "deserve" it, it just is.

I've learned, and some of this I've learned from Andrews and The Traveler's Gift, that "why me?"

The grownups are not riding to the rescue.

And, whether I know why or not, it is me.

I have to accept that and move on, carrying my burden.

  • How To Become An Early Riser

If you never seem to have enough time to do the things that you want to do, maybe you need to invent longer days.

Often referred to as our internal clock, every living thing responds to circadian rhythms.

A circadian rhythm is an approximately 24-hour long cycle that controls specific functions and systems in our bodies.

The word circadian is a combination of the Latin words circa (around) and dies (day).

Our bodies have over 100 circadian rhythms.

Each one directs a different physiological function in our bodies ranging from regulating body temperature to regulating when we sleep and when we wake up.

You develop sleep habits and those habits affect your natural circadian sleep rhythms or your internal clock.

In order to change those habits you need to reset that internal clock.

Now, this isn't as easy as pressing the alarm and the hour/minutes buttons on your bedside alarm clock, although I wish it were.

You need to coax your body into developing new sleep habits.

Those are big words for the simple fact that our bodies respond to cycles of light and dark.

Periods of light tell our brain that it's time to be awake while darkness means bed time.

Don't let light from outside enter your room, and don't try to fall asleep with the T.V. on.

The darkness will trigger the release of chemicals as well as other changes in our body's natural rhythms that bring on sleep.

Buy an inexpensive lamp timer and plug your bedside lamp into it.

Your body will begin producing the chemicals that terminate the sleep period and begin the awake period, as it responds to the light from the lamp.

Adjust your bed time until you can wake up at your new "awake" time without feeling groggy.

The ONE WORD that can change your life immediately!

Food and Drink The ONE WORD that can change your life immediately!

Did you know there is ONE WORD that when you apply it can change your life immediately?

Kind of hard to believe that one word could have that much power isn't it?

The word, as most everything that works, is directly linked to your mind.

Our minds hold all the power, they are the center of our universe.

All that we see and don't see is governed by the beliefs we hold and therefore tell us what our 'truth' is.

One person believes 100% in UFO's and can site tons of evidence while another thinks its all a hoax and can site tons of evidence to back up his belief as well.

When I was laid off 3 weeks before Christmas in 1994 it was probably the lowest point I've ever been in my life.

I had over $15,000 worth of credit card debt and no job.

I was on unemployment for a while then I got 2 jobs, one at GNC and one selling healthriders, both working at malls.

And it has never been the same since.

I was so tired of being in debt and being at the mercy of working for someone else, I got so mad that I finally said ENOUGH!

At that moment in time I decided that I would now decide the direction of my life.

I decided to start some kind of a business so I would not be at the whim of a boss anymore.

These were not just wishes they were decisions.

And I committed to not stopping until they were reality.

Once I stopped listening to 'the crowd' and began to decide for myself what was okay and not okay, my life changed and has been amazing ever since.

Give this magic word a try in your life and see what it can do for you.

  • Are You Ready to Take Action Today?

Food and Drink Are You Ready to Take Action Today?

It may seem obvious, but nothing ever gets done if we don't take action.

We know this instinctively, and yet many of us hem and haw about making a move.

The reason we don't take action is that we are procrastinators.

But why do we put off taking action?

Procrastination can be caused by several factors.

Laziness is a distinct possibility, but it is also possible that a person simply doesn't feel well or have much energy.

Sometimes we think a project will take more brain power or muscle grease than we want to put out at the time, so we put it off.

A perfectionist is one who wants what they do to be flawless, or nearly so.

Most of us have at least some tendency toward this trait.

It is natural for us to want our work to look good, because it is an expression and reflection of ourselves.

Focusing on this lack of perfection leads to fear.

A perfectionist is often paralyzed by the fear of making a wrong move.

For instance, if you are facing the prospect of cleaning your kitchen, you can be stopped dead in your tracks simply because you don't know if you should wipe the table off first or sweep the floor first.

It all boils down to being able to make a decision.

To overcome procrastination and take action today, a person with perfectionist tendencies must take the risk of making a wrong move.

Remember that making a mistake is not the end of the world.

In fact, mistakes are necessary stepping stones along the road to personal growth and success.

If you haven't made many mistakes in your life, it's a dead giveaway that you haven't been doing enough.

  • Tips on Managing Time in Limited Time

From the first part, we learn that we have less time in a day to do many things, there are things in our life which we cannot avoid, that have become our daily routinities.

    Eating

We need to eat to live and though I accept the fact that people have different eating habits and times, I think that and I am sure doctors will agree with me that a person needs three meals a day and should take at least ten minutes to ingest a meal and not just gobble it down.S

o that makes it 30 minutes for food.P

lease do not raise an argument now.I

promise to deal with this bit later on.T

ime with family and friends. Please we are human beings, are not we?

And we certainly cannot get along with our business of life without chatting a few minutes every now and then with our friends and the family too.

So now what do we have left?

We started off with 14 hours of waking time.

And we proceed to add up all the time that we accounted for in the above mentioned points; let us see how much time we have left for productive work provided we still want to exist as human beings.

The activities mentioned above would take when put together a good three hours and twenty minutes.

Now if we proceed to subtract this figure from our 14 hours of waking time, what do we get?

We are left with just ten hours forty minutes.

So from now on dont you think that it would be more realistic to say that we have just ten hour and forty minutes to accomplish a days work and not twenty four hours.

But wait there is more to this story than meets the eye.

I hate to disillusion you but these crucial hours that we have painstakingly added up are not really put to constructive use.

Till now, we have been harping about how valuable time is and how time lost is time lost forever and so on.

But now we come to a strange concept and that is Time Killers.

There are a lot of time killers in this world and what you have to do is that you have to identify these time killers, look out for them and stay wary of tem.

The Secret Health Benefits Of A Good Nature Poster

If you are serious about making a change in your life you don't have to make some drastic 180 degree shift in your life and turn your life upside down.

Think of all those new year resolutions you have made at the beginning of the year and how motivated you were to go out and get started on them straight away.

You joined the gym and when previously the word gym and exercise was walking from your front door to your car you now exercise at the gym 5 days a week and overhaul your diet as well.

If you were to start at point A and make 1 degree shifts to the left each day, in the beginning the 1 degree shifts is so small that you don't even notice it.

If you can make one consistent positive change each day then that's 365 changes per year.

What if you decided today to create a new habit of reading.

That 15mins each day will equate to maybe a half a dozen books per year, think of the extra knowledge that you will have.

Of course when I say reading it is of course non fiction, no junk.

But we all have 15 mins to spare each day, even if you have to do it while sitting in the toilet during your morning routine.

An Inability to Do Nothing: A Reflection on the Traveler

Your key to manifesting your desires in your life is learning how to effectively connect to and harness this power.

In fact, when I first learned of these principles I thought they seemed like a bunch of wacky 'new age' mumbo jumbo.

What mattered to me, really, was not who believed in the truth and effectiveness of these principles, or how strange they seemed, or even if I felt silly applying them.

Regardless of where you are starting from, or what your background or belief system, you will find that when you learn to effectively apply these principles to your everyday life real change will occur, and they will occur at a breathtaking speed.

Each thought that you have has a direct effect on your physical reality.

Most of us go through our lives feeling as if we are at the mercy of external events - we believe that things 'happen to us.'

But what I have come to believe, to know really, is that things don't just happen to us.

You are accepting full responsibility for your life.

It's not our parents' fault, it's not "luck" and it's not "fate."

Where you are right now is not necessarily good or bad - it just is.

The Universe doesn't have an opinion on what you choose to draw into your life.

"Spirit is substance which forms itself according to your demands, and must have a pattern from which to work.

A pan of dough is as willing to be formed into bread as biscuit.

When I first discovered how to effectively apply these principles, I decided to do a little experiment.

I had made some poor financial decisions, and my attitude was one where I was focused almost completely on the 'lack' in my life.

What I was really doing without realizing it, by focusing on what I did not want, by focusing on what I was lacking, was perpetuating the situation and continually attracting those things that I did not want into my life.

I made a list of all of my upcoming bills and expenses that I felt I was in danger of having trouble meeting.

I then began applying the principles to my situation.

"I am grateful for all that I have and all that I am.

I desire to have at least $13,000 to come into my life.

By effectively applying the principles I had learned, within 5 weeks I had a series of 'windfalls' totalling over $15,000.

Dare You Come Alive And Live With Passion?

Each of us had ever experienced that we used to miss some important things in our life, so we can catch another thing.

We often miss them because we dont know how to cope with a very tight schedule.

In this article you will read about a life of a person whose name is Ben, try to get himself fit in the busy schedule.

There is hardly time for him to grab a bite to eat, so what he does is that he runs to the cafeteria and gets a sandwich and coffee.

The coffee he manages to gulp down but the sandwich remains in its wrapper as he notices an interesting article in the newspaper that was still tucked away under his arm.

He reads it in the elevator on his way up and reaches his office just in time for his secretary to tell him that there is important meeting for him with the Board Members within half an hour.

The meeting goes on till noon, you know how people love to talk, and Ben leaves the room with a lot of praises and even more new assignments.

He has had one more coffee, but the sandwich that he had ordered is now fit for the waste bin.

And mind you this is the third time this week that Ben missed breakfast.

Just before noon Ben gets a seemingly endless number of calls from this agent and then that.

At last by half past two Ben leaves his office and makes a beeline to the cafeteria.

Just as he takes a big bite out of his monster burger, his cell phone beeps.

He answers the call to find out that it is a call from a very important client whom he had been trying to fix an appointment with.

The meeting turned out to better than he expected and a beaming Ben returns to his office and sits down to a host of pending paper work which keeps him occupied till seven in the evening.

At half past seven he remembers his date with Kellie and though he rushes to the spot, he reaches there half an hour late and goes home without meeting Kellie and with an empty stomach and a weary body.

Like most of the people used to say, time is money; if you loose time then you will also loose the money.

How To Double Your Income In 30 Days

Are You A Winner Or A Loser?

For me, using death and loss as a lens through which to view life has afforded me with a passion for life, a state of grace, and a continual awareness of the preciousness of each moment.

When we hold death and loss often in our thoughts, as awareness not fear, we will notice inspiration and opportunities for reflection everywhere.

We will find resources for the consideration of death and the transience of life all around us.

I recently had one such experience while listening to Alanis Morissette, one of the most enlightened lyricists of our time.

Morissette sings a unique and substantial song entitled, "Utopia."

In it, she names all the qualities and characteristics we humans would have in her version of Utopia.

The day after the death of our fifteen year old, wonderful dog, I was driving around doing mindless errands in order to be away from my home, where the absence of Willie was overwhelming.

Morissette's CD playing and for the first time really heard the line in Utopia "we'd hold close and let go and know when to do which."

The tears came as if from a faucet.

After the grieving came reflection and I was keenly aware that when it comes to pets, we are better at holding close and letting go.

This is especially true about the letting go because though we do this with heavy hearts we often choose when to let them go, when to end their suffering.

We mourn losing them terribly, but we do know what their life span will be when they enter our lives.

Though we hurt tremendously when we lose them, we are often better able to cope with this loss than some others because we seldom have regrets with our pets.

Most of us just love and care for our pets all of their lives.

We don't get caught up wishing we had said we loved them one more time.

We often treat our pets better than we treat each other.

Reflecting on death was just the beginning of the lesson, as is often the case.

As I considered this line, I began to see clearly that we must hold close to and let go of everything of importance in our lives, in fact every moment in our lives.

Many of us can relate to this concept when we consider our children, particularly those of us whose children are grown.

Parenting is a constant exercise in holding close and letting go.

However, it is not only our children that we must love in this way.

This is hard to accept when we are sure we cannot live without someone, but the truth is one day we will have to live without them, or they without us.

Keeping this in the forefront of your mind allows a bit more freedom with that holding tendency.

Ultimately, it is out of your hands.

In fact, it is out of your hands right now.

It is even more beautiful to come together to share the new directions and experiences you both are having.

While it may be easier to let go of painful times, it is just as important to know that the great highs will pass as well, each moment has to be let go of as there is a new one waiting.

We have to hold close and let go of every moment that comes.

There are times when these matters feel in our own control, when we feel we are able to hold on to situations and relationships, but that is an illusion.

My sister lives in Los Alamos, New Mexico where a forest fire recently devastated the community, rocking their sense of security and forever altering their perspective on the illusive nature of safety.

One minute everything feels fine, you are cleaning the bathrooms, and the next fire marshals are shouting from loudspeakers that you must evacuate.

Living with a sense of the nature of life and death places this illusion of safety in its proper perspective.

Knowing this to our core can allow us a sense of the truly precious state of each moment, can help us to be grateful and rejoice in even the most mundane of life's moments.

People and relationships are what matter, holding our loved ones close is far more important than clinging to possessions.

We can enjoy the treasures of our lives, our homes and the belongings in them, but one day we will have to let them all go.

What is more, when you face loss it is never the things that matter, it is the people, their presence, their smile, their love.

Anyone of us who has lost someone we treasure would trade all of our possessions for one more moment with them.

Learn To Overcome Your Anxieties And Gain Self-Confidence

You are the president of your own nation, and it is called Imagination.

This particular nation is the driving force behind your life and is the underlying factor for your future.

You need to realize that you have an enormous responsibility as the President of this Nation, because you need to always focus on the future and strive to have the ultimate nation.

You need to internalize the power you have as the President of your own nation.

Among many things that you have is the power to choose and consider.

As I have written about in the past, you must create and begin to maximize your mastermind team.

This team will empower you to build an unreal imagination and make others wonder why you are achieving such an awesome level of success.

As the President, you will inspire others to create other phenomenal imaginations of their own.

Each of us has the ability to imagine such powerful dreams for our future, which can change the destiny of millions of people.

Let's think about a few people who had unreal imaginations -- Henry Ford imagined an 8-cylinder car and then achieved it.

The Wright Brothers imagined men could fly and then discovered a way to make that possible.

John F. Kennedy said that we would have a man on the moon and then achieved it.

Ask yourself right now, Where did they all dream of those achievements first?

You need to take some personal time and evaluate how you are handling your nation.

Are you proud of what you are imagining you can be or what you can do?

If you answer that question truthfully, you will either be enthused or disillusioned.

You truly need to re-examine your nation.

I suggest that you brainstorm, which means to take some time for yourself and just write down all the dreams that you have but never even wrote down.

I also recommend that you write down 100 of them and then put them away for 2 days so that they can sink in a little.

When you go back and read them, your inner spirit will direct you to the one that you need to focus on and begin to design with your own Imagination.

I challenge you right now to utilize your God-given imagination and imagine whatever you want to be then you will empowered to run your nation in the most productive methods possible.

Except the two top habits of failures are indecision and procrastination.
